Artist's Statement: I took this photo in a retirement community. I was photographing some wading birds at the edge of a canal when a resident walked up and began feeding the ducks AND the wild iguana that frequented the area. He was in the grass just a few feet from me and I hadn't noticed him. I was shooting with a 300mm lens, but he was so close I had to keep backing up. The only changes I made to the original photo was to smooth out the background.
